Safety routines
Shade, hats and water breaks
Every outdoor block has shade close by, and campers wear a hat with a brim. Water is on every table, and we pause for a water break between blocks, and more often when the day is hot.
Sunscreen
Send your camper with sunscreen already on. After the water hour we stop for a sunscreen break, and a counselor reminds each camper.
The water hour
The afternoon water hour is at the pool beside the school, with a lifeguard on the deck and counselors in the water. Each age group goes in on its own, and campers who need one wear a life jacket.
Hot days
When the day is very hot, outdoor blocks move to the gym and classrooms and we text families about the change before camp starts.
Sign-in and pickup
An adult on your list signs your camper in and out at the door, and we ask for ID until we know you.
Allergies, medicine and illness
Tell us about allergies and medicine at registration, and we ask what we need privately. A camper with a fever stays home, and if a camper feels ill at camp, we call you and a counselor stays with them until you arrive.
